Making the Darkest Velvet Cake Sponge!

From mixing bowl to oven, every step is a journey 
to the darkest, most indulgent Oreo bliss.
Let´s bake it!

Ingredients:

Whole eggs 9 pieces
Sugar 250g (1 1/8 cup)
Unsalted butter 40g (3 tbsp)
All-purpose flour 180g (1 1/2 cup)
Black cocoa powder 60g (1/2 cup)
Baking powder 1 teaspoon

 

Directions:

Preheat the oven on 175°C (350°F).
Place the eggs in clean mixing bowl, add sugar and start whisking in stand mixer on high speed.
In another bowl combine flour, cocoa powder and salt.
When the eggs are fully whipped, start adding flour mixture and melted butter by hand. Flour mixture on 3 parts and butter on 2 part and mix it very well with whisk.

You can divide the batter between prepared pans or you can bake it in one, but the time of baking will be longer (35-40 minutes)
Place it in the oven and bake until a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.

Let it cool completaly.
